The rev limiter works while in park or neutral, not just under load.

A lot of people dont like the 93's because they dont have the forged pistons, and they horsepower rating dropped that year for various reasons, none important enough to matter, as it was basically the same engine making the same power.

Ill point out some good points about the 93's that most people dont think about.

1- Hyper pistons are better for a naturaly aspirated setup, and even a mild power adder setup, as they have tighter clearances and less expansion and retraction, producing a 5.0 motor that doesnt start to burn oil after 100K like most of the forged piston variety, where you have to add a quart every 3K miles.

2- the 93's are supposed to have better engine mounts, the same as the convertible mounts.
