i'm not sure if this helps or not, but for what it's worth, my uncle races his 95 porsche 911 on road courses. when he races, he switches to different brake pads that squeak when they're not hot. try driving with a lot of hard braking to see if the sound goes away. i don't think this is it though, especially if they were squeaking to begin with....but you never know......
