![]() It will work. You'll have to replace the pilot bearing for the smaller input shaft of the 4cyl tranny though. Also, be sure to get a cell phone. The first time you hammer the accelorator you'll frag the tranny. The 4cyl trannys use weaker components than the 5.0 trannys.
If you still have the 5.0 tranny you should think about having Bob Hanlon rebuild it. It probably wouldn't cost you more than $500, and that includes shipping.
