I'm on my 3rd T-5!! I feel your pain! The stock one went at 102,000 miles racing a Vette at Moroso when I hit third gear...
 Replaced it with a World class one and that went about 2 years later when the main shaft broke destroying the casing and all that good stuff! This one, I'm hoping will last a while!!
