![]() Russ, To start off you are running with too much timing. 11 degrees initial is 27 degrees total. You should be around 21 degrees total. Problem is when you kick your initial timing down to 5 degrees, you lose tons of low end. A good cure for this is a custom chip, but you can also just set the initial at 21 degrees and leave the spout out. This will also keep your bottom end.
That should keep you from pinging, and you can lean it out from there, keeping an eye on the plugs after every pass.
