I know I'll get flak for this but, I would not use the tranny because the input shaft is too long. Thats unproductive for the crank, bearings etc.
There may be a bearing to take up the width of the smaller diameter, but again, why waste your time and damage. Not to mention its just plain weaker. my .02$
