With a front mount scoop, the water is heading for you distrubitor. Water on this is a bad thing. Plus it gets in your engine bay making it look bad(I keep mine pretty clean). If you have a cold air kit, you will not see any noticable gain from a scoop. But if you like the look of one, get it. Just make sure you get a nice quality one.
