![]() the vacuum hoses have to be re-routed for the explorer intake and you have to tap the lower intake manifold i think for a coolant sensor....haven't done it personally but that's what i hear.
The 5.0L explorers came with the GT40p heads, which are "quick-burn" heads, and are quite a bit better than the stock heads. There are special headers for them though, because as stated the spark plug location is revised for a better burn. The explorers also came with a 65mm throttle body, but i don't know if that will fit on a mustang, although it looks like it will, i just don't know what spacer you'd need.
