just some food for thought for you

5.0 T-5's are stonger than the 2.3 T-5's
now if you are planning on some horsepower modifications in the future you may want a tranny even stonger than the 5.0 T-5, perhaps a T-5 Z spec or a Tremec or something
Anyways, if you are thinking about something like that you can get the actual tranny from any number of places and use a 4 cyl as a donor for the pedal assembly and everything else you need.

4 cylinders are easier to find and even if you do find a 5.0 donor how good is the tranny? might be wore out and need a rebuild anyway

it's all up to you but this is just another suggestion
