![]() So you basically piped it out huh? Cool. I think mustangs should have an package called the "sweet package" from the factory which would include the sweet sound of offroad exhaust. Anyway, about the smoke...you might be burning oil...leaky piston rings??? The backfires are normal as I also have them and they sound VERY loud with my 3-1/2" tips. I think it could be caused by the pressure buildup in your engine due to the combustion process not being complete in there. It happens with cats on too, but since you have them off, they cant muffle the sound...BANG!!!...did I scare yuh
