![]() I do know that you aren't supposed to run a HV pump with a stock pan because it will suck the pan dry and put all of the oil in the valve covers, though I've never experienced this first hand, so it's 'hearsay' as far as I'm concerned, but it does make sense. I ran a HV pump in my 306 for 3yrs. without any issues directly related to the pump... I've gotten blasted on other boards for simply disagreeing with the fact that a HV pump is a bad idea with a 7 quart pan, with is what I run. Moroso calls for a HV pump with the pan I use, so I can't see what the big problem is. One thing worth noting is that a HV pump takes a few more pony's to run vs. the std. vol. pump...
