Default Do NOT get a...

pre 87 Mustang motor...

The stock heads are better than 85's but not as good as 87' on. After 86' they went with the truck e7 heads.

You will love the torque and hate the ride probably. But who cares, I hated these cars when they first came out. Now I freely admit I have a Mustangs Anonymous problem.

I agree with what has been said above, they are cheap to upgrade and maintain (relatively) and parts are everywhere.

Now, I think I am going to go and tweak something on my car...I need a fix!!

WARNING!!! If you are married your wife/girlfriend will possibly become extremely jealous of the love and attention you will give your car.
SYMPTOMS: Not coming in the house until midnight or so, getting yelled at because there is dirt/grease in every sink and bathtub in the house. You ruin most of your clothes because you insist on working on your car wearing your Sunday best.
