Glad to see this thread came back up. 289 I can not tell you what is best, I can not make up your mind for you, But I WILL tell you what works for me.
Gut the car
alum racing seats
weld the torque boxes
put 3 1/2" studs in those new axles
drive shaft loop
alum drive shaft
4.30s
weld rims
good control arms, adjustable uppers (I don't have any) no SSMs
air bags
4 cylinder springs (all 4 )
90/10 lakewood struts
26 x10 Hoosier Slicks
Centerforce duel friction clutch
Launch at 5500rpm
after picking up timeslip go clean underware
