Hawk did make racing drum shoes that stopped a mustang in the same distance as rear disc. I had them 4 or 5 years ago and it was a totally different car. With drums it heated the shoes so fast they worked with out any heat time and really did a nice job but I would put new drums on the rear instead of turning the old ones.
