Just wanted your guys opinions of them. I usually know BS when I see it, but this sounds like it might actually be worthwhile.... Just curious...and anyone know where to find them? Summit? JC Whitney? Steeda?

Maybe we're talking abotu something different, but I know you can get magnetic drain plugs... theoreticaly it'll catch metal stuff in the oil....

I've heard of those two, but what I'm talking about is a little ring that's magnetized...it's like a sleeve that slides over your oil filter, and it traps shavings and stuff passing through the filter and clings them to the outside of the filter..

its bullshit. buy the magnetic drain plug and be done with it. the magnet on the filter traps stuff BEFORE the filter has a chance to.

I've got the magnetic drain plug in the. Every time I change my oil, the tip of the magnet has a tiny bit of grey slime stuck to it. If you look at it close, you can tell it's made up of very tiny metal particles.
