My feeling
If you want it funtional to the hood scoop, i think you will have to custom fabricate it as you've already mentioned. BTW, there was a reason for the "shakers". The engine moves with torque independently of the hood.
That Canadian outfit has been around for years advertising in Mustang publications. Surprised you hadn't seen it. Rev
