Won't look right....
I have and do have friends w/ 8 inch rims with 4.5 backspacing. So they have 3. 5 inch outward. With 28" tall tires and the fenders clearance on the outside they still will rub from time to time.
So... Your gonna have 4.5 inches of rim sticking out of the fender. Its gonna eat your tires and look bad..... Mine understanding is that most people prefer to use the 6.5 backspacing and then add a 1/4 inch spacer to set it back out a bit. I personally have a 9 1/4 inch rim w/ a 6" backspacing. Works perfect with the 275/50-15 Drag Radial........ Teddy Popee
