I removed mine on my daily driver, because it didn't work anymore and it needed more than a recharge. Its not too difficult at all, however, I would say removing the compressor, lines, condenser, and accumulator saves 30-40 lbs, not 50-75. Also, I went with the march A/C delete kit which works well.
