![]() A car with quad shocks may have slight wheel hop anyway, but you'll never feel it because it's absorbed and dampened by the quads. Take it off and your rear axle with hop to the point where it feels like it's going to break. How do i know? My car had the quads taken off with stock bushings and it was so horrible i couldn't accelerate in 1st gear. I just installed springs, polyurethane bushings, adjustable control arms, ALL just to GET RID of the wheel hop and help me hook up. a primary factor was i couldn't use 1st gear ever, and my best 60 foot time ever was a 2.14 with a 13.99 run @100.47.
For your own sanity, retain the quads, unless you don't mind severe punishing wheel hop.
