![]() Okay, first off, code 98 is a hard system failure. Not a good thing. Could be the ECM.
Second, K&N oil will screw with the MAF, and cause drivability issues like you described. Third, you should be able to disconnect the MAF, and still start the engine, and have it idle. If you have a K&N on, and it's too oily, clean it and re-oil it, but don't be so generous with the oil. Clean the wire inside the MAF with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Be very gentle. Reset the ECM, and run KOEO codes. If you get any codes, post them. if not, run a KOER test, and post the results.
