Clean your MAF, reset the ECM, and run KOEO codes. If that passes, run KOER codes. Post the results.

As far as your intake, the rear intake to block gasket doesn't effect the vacuum. The vacuum is inside the manifold, not underneath it. Your vacuum reading sounds low, but you have an E cam with 1.7 rockers, what do you expect? That's going to affect your idle quality as well. If you think you have a vacuum leak, get a camping size propane cylinder with a flame tip on it, and turn it on (but don't light it), and point it where ever you think you have a vacuum leak. If the idle speed picks up, you found your vacuum leak. Disconnecting the vacuum tree doesn't verify anything because I don't know what you've got attached to it. If you have a MAP/BAP attached to it, that could kill the engine. You need to create a vacuum leak that doesn't affect anything else. Try removing the vacuum line from the fpr, and see what happens. If it still stalls, then you probably have a vacuum leak, but if the idle goes up, then you don't. Also, you might want to get an aux. vacuum tank.

Take care,
~Chris
