i can tell you one thing that engines has had either a new intake or the head swap done on it the 98 gt did not have the aluminum coolant cross over on it they did not start doing that until 99 and up models also the 98 came stock with a mobilizer i believe so you will need to have the keys sync`d to the ecu for the car to start
