Mine is the same way!! Super loud!!! I mounted it on a plate with thick rubber under the mounting tabs. I'm putting a pressure bypass on the pump to relieve the deadhead load too. Once I fix it that is. I have a leak from somewhere on the pump.

So, don't feel weird, the Blue is just a really loud pump. I wonder what two will sound like (one for the engine, one for spray)?
