A mild cam has to help slightly, my car's a pretty stock coupe with longtubes/Dr. Gas x-pipe/flowmasters with the stock cam. My friends GT had short tubes/BBK x-pipe/flowmasters and an E-303 cam and he pulls away from me everytime and his motors pretty beat with well over 120k miles on it, mine only has around 68k and my cars a little lighter. I'm sure the cam's given more of a gain for the money than most other things besides gears.
