Done this! Yes it can be done. take off the motor mount bolts, jack up the engine as high as you can go. Drop the oil pan (won't come out of the car yet!) then drop the oil pump into the pan. Weasel said oil pump and drive shaft out, weasel new oil pump and driveshaft in. Definitely go with the ARP bigger driveshaft.
