![]() I have done a fair amount of thinking on this subject. First question is would it be better to just get a GT or Cobra cause in the end its going to cost to mod the V6. But if this question is over then it appears the path would have you add:
Cold Air Induction & KN filter Under drive pullies True dual exhaust with an H pipe New gears that give more power to the wheels What kind of transmission? Either way there are mods to improve the AODE or 5 speed stick. Shift kits, etc. Then on to the suspension for lowering and better struts/shocks plus frame stiffening and rear sway bar maybe caster camber plates and strut tower brace. Also tires will be important. If you make the final lap you would be adding a turbo or superchager kit. After that it starts to get into the motor itself. This is why you need to be sure you just don't want to get the GT or Cobra now. But building up the 3.8 can be a lot of fun and experience don't want to discourage you. I am working on this type project too. Going a little slow but I foresee dual exhaust in the near future
