![]() I have the M-6007-XE3 FR long block and I'm now very pleased with it. I hate to say it, but it took me a year to get it dialed in correctly. However, once I degreed the cam in right, fixed a nagging vaccum leak and dyno tuned the carb and timing, it really runs great.
The things I was able to keep were: · Oil pan · Oil pump · Timing cover · Fuel eccentric · Fuel pump The thing I had to change: · Flex plate · Balancer · Distributor MSD (my stock one with Petronics was not cutting it) · Intake manifold Performer RPM (the performer did not match up with the X303 heads) · Roller rockers (works best with a roller cam) · Valve covers (to fit rockers) · Holley 670cfm carburetor (600cmf Edelbrock was not cutting it) This is off the top of my head. I’m sure I left off many other misc. items. If you have specifics, I can let you know what I ended up doing.
