![]() Drivetrain loss is a percentage, not a set value. 12 to 17 percent is normal for a stick car, while automatics can be upwards of 20 percent. My engine made 495 on the engine dyno, and chassis dynoed in the 415 area making the percentage of loss around 16. I have a couple friends that make engine dyno power in the 720 range. Their losses are just over 100 horsepower.
