Default Re: Carburetor Advice

Assuming since your going from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel you plan on replacing the intake manifold also. I have a performer package from Edelbrock on my 289. It consisted of the performer intake, a carb, and a cam. I opted for the manual choke. This package has improved the performance considerably. Is it a dragster - no. Is it the fastest 67 in town - no. will it put out 350 horses at the wheels -no. But on a cruise night it sounds pretty good and I can smoke the tires with the best of them. You may want to do your homework and check out the Edelbrock packages. A word of warning though - many swear by an Edelbrock carb and many swear at them.
