SVT began making the cobra in 1993. The cobra decals that are on that 88GT car was most likely installed by the dealer. I've seen that a ton of Canadian GT's had that done, and some from the states as well. It is absolutely nothing but decals, so its nothing special.
as far as the gears go, they are either 2.73's or 3.08's. My 88LX (originally auto) had 2.73's, and I think the 3.08's were standard with manual tranny cars, but either were optional. Either way, they need to be changed out to atleast 3.73's if not 4.10's or lower (numerically higher)
