![]() No, I was just wondering if you'd go even colder on the plugs or just crank the timing way down.
I do plan to spray my rebuilt 306 with 175-185, with plenty of fuel of course.Forged pistons, stock everything else(crank & rods). What do you think? Should I get a main girdle? At least studs I figure.

![]() I'd stick with a 150 shot. That'll take well over a second off of your quarter mile time with a big enough fuel pump & a properly set bottle warmer. Anything over that seems like you're pushin it in my opinion.

![]() 150 is safe but its pushin it - stock rods are the weakest link

![]() So you're plugs look ok? No detonation I guess? That's amazing for a 150 shot. All we have here in So.Cal. is 91 octane. I've yet to experiment with race fuel & more timing. My 150 shot on 91 octane with my timing on 9 is plenty for me. I don't want to damage any of my motor internals. That's great that you can pull that off though. What are your 1/4 mile times mr49south?
