![]() Did a 426 [Speed-o-Motive]. Was just a street/toy car with C-4. Mucho low end power.

![]() Are you buying the stroker kit or the short block ? because even though there isn`t much price difference in the stroker kits the 427 gets expensive because with the 4.25 ( i think ) stroke that is used you must run a small base circle cam and with the 408 its nothing special just same old 351 stuff, hope it help i was looking in to the same kits then i found mine from a different place

![]() You`d still be better off with the 408w i spent months lookin at different senarios and finally found in the long run i`d be better off with the 408 , the cam etc is just too much of an extra cost for the power gains , also to take advantage of the 427 cubes you would have to run some pretty good head not to choke it off so say you had the same heads on the 408 and the 427 the 408 would winde much high just because of the fact the head can only allow so much air in with the 408`s smaller displacement the overall air needed to fill the cylinders would be much less than the 427 at the same rpm , so when it comes down to it 427 for bottom end anc choke it off or the 408 which will still great bottom but will make the power for longer. more cubes you go the more everythign else is a limiting factor
