![]() You`d still be better off with the 408w i spent months lookin at different senarios and finally found in the long run i`d be better off with the 408 , the cam etc is just too much of an extra cost for the power gains , also to take advantage of the 427 cubes you would have to run some pretty good head not to choke it off so say you had the same heads on the 408 and the 427 the 408 would winde much high just because of the fact the head can only allow so much air in with the 408`s smaller displacement the overall air needed to fill the cylinders would be much less than the 427 at the same rpm , so when it comes down to it 427 for bottom end anc choke it off or the 408 which will still great bottom but will make the power for longer. more cubes you go the more everythign else is a limiting factor
