![]() juiceman is right of course. The stall speed is dependent on torque. What one wants for max acceleration is for the tranny to hook at the torque peak of the engine. On my mild 306 (300/350) the torque peak is around 3700-4000). For drivability purposes, I chose a TCI 2500 converter. I couldn't tell any difference seat of the pants and track times showed no difference from stock. I still wouldn't want a much higher one because it can kill drivability on the street. 2500-3000 is all you can stand in a street engine IMHO.
