Yeah, damn those T5's. People like Skyman running his 1.6's and mid 12's on motor with his stock 89 T-5 rated at 260lb/ft. Yeah, they're weak.

Bottom line is, some people don't have any problems with their T5's. Some people have terrible luck with them. Same with the tremecs though. The Tremec is based on a Ford Toploader. They are built by monkey's. Most people with the tremec have to purchase an aftermarket shifter just to change gears. The older tremecs had shitty cases, and in every post I've seen where a Tremec has broken, they won't stand by their product.

I don't think the T-5 is the greatest tranny in the world, but I like it better than the Tremec. I guess Tremec thought it was a good design too, since they bought the rights to it.
