Yeah I think I am leaning towards the Z-Spec/Super Duty T5. My tranny has almost 200 thousand HARSH miles on it now and its just begining to get loud. It still shifts fine, but its time for a rebuild. I was hoping for a 6 speed, but I just found out that they don't work in fox bodied cars because they have an all electronic speedo drive (plugs not a cable), so that won't work. The tranny with the closest 5th gear to the T56's 6th gear it the Super Duty Z-Spec.
Top Gear Ratios: Super Duty Zspec = 0.63 T56 = 0.62 My current trany = 0.73 (I have the early style T5 with 2.95 first and 0.73 fifth ratios) That will give me a huge RPM change on the highway won't it???
