well i would like to keep it to a low budget, cuz the heads that were on the motor i got are in good shape and i would send them out anyout to have them redone, but are they enough for a 331? and then even so would my stock intake be able to give the motor what it needs?

The stock heads and intake wouldn't be enough for a 331. Might look at something like this
http://www.hunterstyle.com/thumper/headflow.php If you're sending the heads out to be gone through, a set of his heads might be worth it. Find out how much a valve job costs, plus the price of any new valves you need.
