I have a 347 ready to go in my 68 Cougar. It doesn't have a girdle on it and I have the aluminum Cobra pan that is a knock off of the 65 GT350. With the front sump it fits the older style car.
On the late models, which it looks like what you're building, I agree with 88Workcar and let whom ever is suppling your crank, etc to supply the pan. Just tell them what you're putting it in. If they don't sell oil pans, get an 8 quart pan from one of the name brand pan companies. Like Canton, Milidon, Hamburger, etc. I don't think you'll have a problem. Oil pump, Melling is about the best. The pick up would be which ever one matches the pan. The pan manufactore will help you there. Happy New Years !!!
