![]() get a kit from ssbc.
I did that swap back in about 83or 84, and about a year after I swapped the versailles rearend in, the driver side caliper locked and I smelled something burning......... stopped the car and the rotor was smoking and glowing cherry red! Replacement parts were hard to get then only about 8 years after they were new. You do get a proper width 9" rearend with the swap, but its not worth it today with ssbc, baer, and willwood options out there. |

![]() Also about the spindle swap,as someone posted earlier, the granada or monarch spindles from the mid 70's will bolt onto a 65-66 stang without bad problems.
Mustang 2 spindles will not fit properly as a direct bolt on...... and even if you got them on...... without a complete weld in mustang 2 frontend kit your steering geometry and bumpsteer would make the car dangerous to drive. |

![]() I wasn't talking about putting the Mustang II spindle in the early Mustang. I was talking about putting the early spindle in the Mustang II. Like I stated in an earlier post, a buddie of mine has a 76 that needs a spindle and I have a set of 67 spindles I told him he could have if it would work.
