![]() I found my stock box, and the c&l works fine. It turns out that the issue has to do with laminar flow. Laminar flow is basically a smooth flow of air, vs turbulent air. the k&n I was using was huge since it was made for a suburban and was causing turbulent air when directly connected to the maf. Now, with the stock box, it got the idle in less than a minute and has a noticable top end gain. I did research on the subject and it turns out that this is one of the few downsides to maf, but it is easy to fix. A smaller k&n or cold air intake should also solve the issue.
