i agree that the book value of the car is thrown out in a case like this. the guy is going to look at car traders to see if he can find one similar to what he has and get a price from that. i'm going to check also to make sure he doesn't find one that is nothing like it and try to charge us for that. but he's a really cool, down to earth kind of guy that's really not into stuff for the money of it.

but we'll see how it comes out. i'll let you know how it goes.

The car is probably worth at least $4,000-$6,000 in the current market. It's not a real "collectors" car; however, there are a lot of people willing to pay top dollar for an old T-Top car in that kind of shape. Take a look at ebaymotors for example.

If you can get it for $2,500 or even $3,000, it's probably a bargain.
