![]() I seem to remember my neighbor having this problem a number of years ago... I'm thinking that he swapped out the tailshaft housing for one that mounted the gear on the opposite side???

![]() It has to be the tailhousing as Phillyfanfrombirth said. I've never seen a gear on the output shaft that was made to turn the other way.
Your transmission must have some strange tailhousing from who knows what.
