![]() You want to use an AOD for your swap. 89-93 are the best years for trans. ealier AOD's can be used with some minor upgrades. Mustang AOD transmissions are a straight swap for a c-4 or a t-5 . If you use a linc trans you have to shorten the driveshaft. The Throttle Valve cable controls the Line Pressure of the trans. It MUST be hooked up and adjusted properly or you will smoke the trans in just a few miles. Lokar make an adpt. bracket that will hook it up to a Holley. the AODE is electronically controlled. If you wanted to go with an electronic trans I would use a 4r70w. Check out Click Click Racing for excellent AOD info. Daniel
