Default Re: 98 mustang rear end swap with a 96 XR7

i put a 92 lincoln mark vII rear 8.8 in my 98 v6 that i got at a salvage yard for 100 bucks. it was a easy swap plus now my rear tires (cobra r's 17x9 275/40/17) are even with the fenders and looks way better. the only down side is it is a limited slip and not a trac lok but are WAY cheeper then a mustang rear end (they wanted 500 4 a used mustang rear) plus the rear disks are bigger then the gt's. the 3.27 gears made a big difference over the stock 2.73's and even though at 70mph my rpm are at 2200 i get way better gas milage 380 miles stock to a tank to 460. just be sure to get the rotors and calipers cause they are different and the stock mustang wont work....belive me i know!
