![]() an intake will help a little bit on a stock head/cammed engine, but not enough to justify the $400+
i'd first tell him to get rid of the 2 1/4" catback and step up to a 2.5" what about some 1.7RR's along with some new valve springs (depending on his mileage) i've heard the 1.7 rockers wont help and can actually hurt if you have worn/ old springs, which I do and that probably explains why i saw no gain when i put them on if he's on a budget tell him to get some GT40P heads ($99 bare each), port them a little and your ready to go, he'll also need a P specific header for these though because of spark plug angle i think? THEN he can get the intake and a cam many people have gotten great power out of the P heads, mid 12's is farily easily obtainable with them good luck ------------------ 88 Notch, B&M Ripper, 3.73's, Ported E7's, Explorer int. w/ ported lower, pulleys, 1.7RR's, BBK headers, off-road H-pipe, flowmasters, subframes, 65mm TB, March ram air ,MSD coil, U/L control arms, 155lph f/p, Crane Adj.FPR, Nitto drag radials, best 1/4--> 13.76@101.4 on a 2.17 60ft |
