				 | carb guys vacuum?? I'm running a comp cams 280 cam. Summit says that it is too big for power brakes, but I've run it for awhile and it was fine. But I have noticed that the car does run rich cause there's always alot of black soot on the bumper. Could not enough vacuum cause the car to run rich like this?? And could this be cured by adding a vacuum canister? ------------------ 4 cyl converted to 302 comp cams cam, ported GT 40 heads, Edelbrock intake, holley carb Turbo coupe rear with 373's 4 inch cowl hood finally done after what seemed like forever!!!!! |

				 | I have pretty much the same Cam - but mine is a little smaller (270h)... The canister will give you power brakes thats all... The motor builds up vac. and stores it in the canister - when you tap the brakes it can use the stored up vac... It is just a reserve for the brakes.. Do you have a auto or manuel tranny - if it is stick I don't think you would have a prob with that cam - it's not that big.. Your carb could be another story though... |
