I think my front end is F******?
can you guys tell me an easy way to find out if i have a bad tie ride or ball joint in the front end or anything else i should check for because i have a HELL of a vibraton
at about 60MPH and any speed after that, real bad at about 120mph thanks |

Lock your steering wheel. Jack up the front of the car. Place your hands at the three and nine o'clock positions on each wheel and try to wiggle back and forth, checking for play. This is one way to check for worn suspension pieces. I'm sure there are other ways to help narrow down the problem, but this is one check that I know.
Also, check your front tires for weird wear pattern around the edges. This may tell you if your alignment's off. If you have your alignment checked at a shop they will tell you if they can't set it because of worn parts. [This message has been edited by cleangreenmachine (edited 02-14-2001).] |
