Red HOT spark plugs Has anyones spark plugs turn red? The white part closes to where the spark is produce on autolite 25 was red when i removed them to change em. New that part is white but I remove to change and they were red. This is the first time this has ever happened. I always had my timing at 12, but recently i advanced to 14 and then this occured. it happen after a went to 14. Was this the cause of advanced timing? I put the timing back to 12 to see if it happens again.

They might put an additive in the fuel in your area. Or maybe just that particular station. Try getting gas somewhere else if you go to the same place all the time. ------------------ 87 GT Full exhaust, K&N, KB Subs, BBK STB, homeade dumps... 87 Taurus New York Winters Bite!

thanks, I've always gone to Chevron, usually the same station. I'll try some where else now. So its basicly an additive that would cause this?
