Think about it this way, your air tools will last you a long time, maybe for life if you take good car of them. Don't throw away quality for price. Also, get the biggest compressor you can. I got a 7hp quad Campbell, and it works well, I even blew out the sprinkler system with it. Be careful with what you buy, those oilless compressors suck. Also don't get one with an aluminum pump, get a cast iron one. The cast iron is way more durable, and can be rebuilt. A friend of mine had a 60 gallon compressor with an aluminum compressor, and wore it out. He was pretty mad when he couldn't rebuild it.
