I just meant that the AOD can be competitive too. In my 91, I had a stall converter and 3.73's and could keep up with most 5-speeds. I raced my friend's 94 Cobra and was even until 3rd when I looked over at him and saw him trying to find the gear! The AOD is alright but I need a 5-speed. And to further your point about $ to go fast...The 5-speed in my 01 didn't cost anything. If I wanted an auto, it would have been $800 extra.
